Halogen



Halogen bulbs are brighter and last longer than traditional incandescent lightbulbs, but they're more expensive. They produce a whiter color of light with less heat and require an electrical ballast which can be installed in the lamp holder or on the vehicle's wiring harness. It is best to use them only for short periods of time because their intense brightness may affect eyesight if left on too long.
